Nelson Mandela University offers financial assistance to full-time students in the form of bursaries, merit awards, scholarships and study loans.
Unfortunately Nelson Mandela University does not finance part-time studies. It is advisable to consult your employee for possible assistance.
Academically deserving and financially needy students (full-time) have the opportunity to apply for a loan from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), part of which can be converted to a bursary, subject to academic results.
There may be specified financial assistance available to students in certain professions, such as teaching and social work, which is provided by governmental departments or private employees. Some of these funds are administered by Nelson Mandela University.
More detailed information can be obtained from the Student Financial Aid Office (041 504 2550 for bachelor’s programmes / 041 504 3335 for national diploma and BTech programmes).
